We installed inTension at the 2005 ITP Winter Show, and observed how people interact with it.
First of all, children loved it. Without any explanation, they knew how to play.
A child sat inside and played inTension like monkey bars.
A child tried to get inside of inTension without making a sound.
Also, we were surprised by users imagination in playing the
installation.
One woman danced inside of inTension.
One man did a handstand to play!
One man kicked the bungees and danced at the same time.
Seniors also liked to play.
They said they liked it because it is intuitive to play and sounds beautiful.
Many people played with friends,
or with their children,
or even played with a person with whom they just met.
As a whole, we are delighted by people's reaction to inTension.
